Home Improvement Contractor Registration

In 2008, the Pennsylvania Legislature passed the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act. The law requires that every one contractors who carry out at least $5,000 value of home improvements per year register with the Attorney General’s Office. Homeowners and contractors with questions about the Home Improvement Contractor program, should contact the Office. Number , addresses (NOT P.O. Box numbers), of the parties, the contractor’s registration number, the name of the salesperson concerned, if any and the date the contract was executed by the parties. The contractor’s registration number should be on the first page of the contract.
